I downloaded the beta version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 about two weeks ago (June 2 2006) and have been using it daily. Overall I am impressed with the updates they have done - it definitely is a much better product than IE 6 and is built for the new Internet. Like most new Microsoft software it possibly goes a little overboard with its security upgrades. For Firefox fans, the new IE is a browsing experience they are very familiar with - with tabbed browsing, built in search feature, RSS feeds etc. There are a few new elements not seen (zoom in and a handy print page feature) on Firefox but most likely available as an add-on. IE 7.0 has also launched a 3rd party add-ons community download site (kind of like Firefox) ... but as of June 12 2006 it is pretty bare. Most sites right now display fine except my beloved Google Calendar - which I rely on daily (I expect google will fix this very soon). Give it a try but like most new Microsoft software if you don't have Windows Genuine software, you can not download their free software.
